It could be that it was a dream he perceives himself as a monster for killing off friendships and hopes she isn't scared.
But essentially I'm thinking that The Boy could have been an alien/monster/hentai beast for a while and that it was hinted at previously. Particularly with Fam talking to him about shit happening for no reason directly after he pulls it out.
Not sure if any of these things actually mean anything. I also recalled the part in Clapping for the Wrong Reasons when he's rapping with FlyLo, and he has to leave with a bleeding nose, only to pull out a golden tooth on the end of a piece of string. At 1:47 ( ), there is a large gash on The Boy's leg as he comes back onto shore from swimming in the ocean. Then I saw that possible easter egg in 'The Worst Guys' with Chance. ("Man, there's a star bound to a body inside of me/20 million degrees, burn a man to his knees" could also be related as well.) Obviously there is No Exit in which he claims to be a murderer: "Don't go, gotta know, please don't run away/I'm a murderer, what can I say?". Ok so I noticed something with the whole alien/octopus/monster thing.
